Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups finely chopped pecans
  • 1½ cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together granulated sugar, brown sugar, beaten eggs, and vegetable oil until well combined.
  3. Add self-rising flour and salt to the wet ingredients; stir until just combined.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
