Description

Southern Banana Cobbler Delight—ripe bananas, buttery crust, and cinnamon spice baked to golden perfection for the ultimate comfort dessert!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla.

  • Pour batter over melted butter—do not stir.

  • Evenly layer banana slices over batter.

  • Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the bananas.

  • Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

 

  • Cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
