Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ripe bananas, sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla.
Pour batter over melted butter—do not stir.
Evenly layer banana slices over batter.
Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, then sprinkle over the bananas.
Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
