Description
These savory, four-ingredient crescent bites are packed with creamy sausage and zesty Rotel tomatoes, making them the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer or breakfast treat. Quick to assemble and always a hit at parties, they’re a must-have for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (1-lb) roll breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (10-oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained very well
- 2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and well-drained Rotel tomatoes until fully combined.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Using a pizza cutter, slice each triangle in half lengthwise to create two smaller triangles.
- Place a small scoop of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle and roll up tightly.
- Arrange the filled crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm or at room temperature. Optional: pair with ranch dressing, salsa, or queso for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure the Rotel is very well drained to prevent soggy crescents.
- These can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
- Use spicy sausage or hot Rotel for an extra kick.
