Mediterranean Grilled Beef Skewers

Description

Juicy and flavorful Mediterranean Grilled Beef Skewers marinated in Greek herbs and spices, then seared to perfection. Ideal for BBQs, weeknight meals, or served with pita and tzatziki.


Ingredients

  • lbs beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, thyme, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
  4. Thread the marinated beef onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
  5. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  6. Grill the beef skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely charred and cooked to desired doneness.
  7. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with pita, tzatziki, or a Greek salad.

Notes

  • Marinate the beef overnight for the best flavor.
  • Use metal skewers for convenience or soak wooden ones to prevent burning.
  • Great with grilled vegetables on the side.
