Homemade classic pizza with a chewy, golden crust made from 6 simple ingredients—perfectly topped and baked for a delicious family pizza night!
Ingredients
For the Dough:

2½ cups warm water

1 tbsp active dry yeast

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

¼ cup olive oil

6 to 6½ cups all-purpose flour
For the Pizza:

2 cups pizza sauce
-
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Assorted toppings (pepperoni, veggies, herbs, etc.)
Instructions

Make the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, salt, and olive oil. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Gradually stir in flour, one cup at a time, until a sticky dough forms.

Knead on a floured surface for 6–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 15–60 minutes.

Preheat Oven:

Set oven to 500°F (260°C).

Preheat pizza stone for 30 minutes or baking sheet for 10 minutes.

Shape & Top Pizza:

Divide dough into 2 equal portions. Roll one half on parchment into a 12–14 inch circle.

Spread with 1 cup of pizza sauce, then top with 1½–2 cups mozzarella and toppings of your choice.

Bake:

Transfer parchment and pizza onto the preheated stone or sheet.

Bake for 10–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.

Remove carefully and let cool slightly before slicing.

Repeat:

Let pizza stone reheat for 10 minutes if needed, then repeat with remaining dough and toppings.
