- 1½ cups warm water (105°–115°F)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 3¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- ½ cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until bubbly.
- Using a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment, gradually add the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until the dough forms a loose ball.
- Cover the mixing bowl with a dish towel and let the dough proof for 30–45 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Pour half of the melted butter onto the bottom of the sheet pan and spread evenly.
- Place the dough in the center of the sheet pan. Starting from the middle, press the dough outward toward the edges until it covers the entire bottom of the pan.
- Pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the dough, ensuring the entire surface is covered. Evenly sprinkle the parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning over the top.
- Let the dough rest for 15–20 minutes, allowing it to rise to about 1 inch thick.
- Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into breadsticks of your preferred size.
- Bake the breadsticks for 18–20 minutes, or until they are lightly golden around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
