Description

Garlic Baked Brie is a simple yet decadent appetizer featuring a creamy, melty brie wheel smothered in fragrant garlic butter and sprinkled with fresh parsley. Perfect for parties and special occasions, this easy dish pairs beautifully with toasted bread or crisp crackers.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley

To Serve

  • Crackers or toasted bread (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Brie: Unwrap the 8 oz wheel of brie and place it in the center of your prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake the Brie: Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the center is very soft when a toothpick is inserted. The brie should appear slightly puffed and oozy.
  4. Make Garlic Butter: While the brie bakes, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until the garlic is just golden and fragrant. Take care not to let it burn. Remove from heat.
  5. Plate & Dress: Using a spatula, carefully transfer the baked brie to a serving plate. Immediately pour the warm garlic-butter mixture evenly over the top of the brie.
  6. Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt, pepper, and the chopped fresh parsley. Serve at once, accompanied by crackers or toasted bread for dipping.

Notes

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, let the minced garlic steep in the melted butter for a few minutes off the heat before pouring over the brie.
  • You can use dried parsley if fresh is unavailable, but fresh is recommended for best color and flavor.
  • For extra flair, try adding a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of chopped nuts after baking.
  • Baked brie is best served immediately, while it’s warm and gooey.
