Description

A hearty, customizable stuffed bread filled with meats, cheeses, and vegetables, perfect for using up leftovers and satisfying a crowd.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf lengthwise and hollow out some of the interior to make room for the filling.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cheeses, meats, vegetables, sauce, and seasonings. Mix well.
  4. Fill the hollowed-out bread with the mixture, then place the top half back on.
  5. Wrap the loaf in foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the crust is golden and crispy.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Great for using up leftover meats and vegetables.
  • You can substitute meats or add other toppings as desired.
  • Vegetarian option possible by omitting meat and adding more vegetables.
