Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Gently mix until all ingredients are incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat so it stays tender.
- Add Cheese (Optional): If you’re using shredded mozzarella, fold it into the mixture at this stage, ensuring even distribution for added moisture and flavor.
- Shape and Place in Crockpot: Shape the blended mixture into a loaf and carefully place it into a greased or parchment-lined crockpot. This helps with easy removal and clean-up.
- Apply Ketchup Glaze: Evenly spread the ketchup over the top of the formed loaf to create a flavorful, sticky glaze as it cooks.
- Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours. The beefloaf is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Rest and Serve: Using spatulas, carefully remove the beefloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute for a moist slice. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot with your favorite sides.
