Description

Golden, crispy breaded garlic mushrooms—perfectly seasoned and deep-fried for a flavorful appetizer or snack that’s irresistibly crunchy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz (400g) chestnut or button mushrooms, cleaned

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup fine breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp garlic granules

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Prepare three bowls: flour in the first, whisked eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic granules, parsley, salt, and pepper in the third.

  • Dredge each mushroom in flour, dip into egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or heavy pot.

  • Fry mushrooms in batches for 3–4 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

  • Serve hot with garlic mayo or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Ensure mushrooms are dry before breading for best results.
  • Try adding Parmesan to the breadcrumb mix for extra flavor.
  • Can be air-fried for a lighter version—cook at 400°F for about 10 minutes.
