Description
A rich and satisfying pasta dish combining tender ground beef, savory garlic, and a luscious Parmesan cream sauce, all tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta for a comforting one-pan meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well to combine.
- Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 3-5 minutes until creamy and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- This dish reheats well; store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Swap ground beef with ground turkey or sausage for a different flavor profile.
