Description

A rich and satisfying pasta dish combining tender ground beef, savory garlic, and a luscious Parmesan cream sauce, all tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta for a comforting one-pan meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well to combine.
  5. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Reduce heat to low and simmer for another 3-5 minutes until creamy and smooth.
  7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • This dish reheats well; store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Swap ground beef with ground turkey or sausage for a different flavor profile.
