Description

This Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Bread is a crave-worthy combination of crispy garlic bread, seasoned beef, and melty cheese—all baked together into one irresistible, hearty meal that’s ready in minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread (16 oz), sliced in half lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Brush each with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
  6. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, water, salt, and pepper.
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  8. Spread the Sloppy Joe mixture evenly over the toasted bread halves.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for another 10 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Slice and serve hot.

Notes
